It's Back!

Wearable Art... wearable to the trash!
After a long hiatus, Oogly Duds is pleased to announce its triumphant return to snarky fashion criticism! Now, in Peru, there are no thrift stores... so I wasn't able to find as much ugly stuff as I could have. Okay, yes I did. However, I didn't always have a camera with me.

Anyway, now that I'm back in the USA - I'm ready to fire up the horrible oogly duds for your viewing pleasure!

So... here's the first entry. It's Bob Mackie... who I guess  used to be a fancy designer. Now his "wearable art" is hanging out at Deseret Industries in Utah! Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

I hate butterflies on clothes.  They're fine in real life. I have no problems with real-world butterflies. Yet, they're trite and cliche on clothes or accessories in my opinion. Especially in this format. Ugh!
Plus, what's up with the '90s reverse color and cuffs? Are the psychedelic butterflies not enough?

It seems like butterflies are particularly popular with plus-sized women's clothes. I don't know why? Maybe because we want to fly away?  I just know that this shirt should flutter away into the trash bin.
